We went on Pirates of the Caribbean, which Madison loved. My dare devil girl loved the drops and wanted to do it again.
With Madison and my big belly there wasn't a whole lot to do, but we enjoyed a couple of rides, some shows, and the atmosphere. We were only there for part of the day, but it was fun to go back and see so many friends.
We just started unpacking our christmas things so Madison decided she was going to wear her santa hat.

Trick- or- Treat
Wayne wanted to dress- up and have fun this year so we went to the costume shop to look around to help get ideas for a costume. He decided to go as Benjamin Franklin. The costumes in the shop were very cheesy looking so we decided I would make the costume. Since I had already made Madison's dress I was pretty confident I could do it. I had never taken on a project this big or extensive, but I was willing to try. Wayne also won second place in the costume contest at work.
I went easy this year. With a big baby belly there is only so much one can do. I found a beautiful witches hat at Target and so my costume began. I bought the black dress and a purple ribbon to tie around and match the hat. I them made the gloves to add some pizazz.

Cell Phone Dependency
I am getting so fed up with my dependency on cell phones. I have no clue what my mom and dad's number is, unless I have my cell. I have no clue what my sister, or brothers number, unless I have my cell. Wayne recently got a new phone for work that he now uses and I have no clue what his number is unless I have my cell. I think that is horrible. Ten years ago I could rattle off 20 numbers of friends or family, from memory, and today I know 2: my cell and my home number. That's it. I could tell you the phone number of my best friend, while growing up, but that number no longer belongs to her family. I can remember, from when I was five, calling my dad to come home for lunch, having memorized his work number, but I have no clue what his home number is now.
If that is not bad enough, I now have problems dialing a phone. I had lost my cell last night, but needed it to get a friends number. So today I grabed my house phone and called my cell, but it took me 3 tries. Over and over again I would press the wrong button: the 4 not the 7, the 6 not the 9. It would not be so bad if it was just this once, but it happens every time I try to manually dial a number.
Cell phones make us lazy!!!
Well I hope you got a good laugh at my expence, I know I have.

Sleeping Babies
Refusing to let go of her boombox.
With her foot through the slot (a favorite of hers).
Just finished eating.
Refusing to let go of her bottle.
Using baby as a pillow, and pillow inbetween her legs (like Mommie).
Then a couple of days ago one such incident topped the rest. Madison was tired and cranky and in need of a nap, however she did not want to nap. She was fighting falling asleep standing at the railing of her crib crying. Then it got quiet to I figured she was asleep so I went to check on her. I looked in and she was still standing at the railing, but her eyes were closed. She started moving a little, and I didn't want her to see me so I quickly ducked out waiting for the crying again when it did not come I looked in once more. She was in the same spot, eyes closed. I went in to take another look when I realized she fell asleep standing up. I could not resist the chance for the best sleeping baby picture ever.

Swimming Fun
She will actually jump off the steps and swim to you while you are standing a few feet away.

A new leaf
With that said I have a cute story. Last night Madison was sitting in my lap and pointing to something she wanted. I looked over, saw her sippy cup and assumed that was what she wanted. "No!" she tells me "hello." I look over again and see my phone. She wanted my phone, which she has appropriately re-named hello.

Camping Fun
Madison grabbed the bike helmet and put it on, her friend LT helped by snapping it under her chin. She then did her best to climb up on to the bike, but she needed my help to get all the way up. Once on the bike she tried to pedal, but the seat was way to high for her to be able to make any type of progress.
In true camping tradition we made foil meals for dinner. There was so much food, I thought there was no way I could eat it all. However, the food was so good I could not stop my-self until I had eaten my entire plate.
Madison had her first experience toasting marshmallows. She even managed to get the stick out of Daddy's hands and catch her marshmallow on fire, but Daddy saved it before there was too much damage done.
Madison really enjoyed eating her marshmallow . . .
she made sure every bit was either gone, or on her.
