Better late than never!

I am going to try and get caught of on some of what has happened this last year.
I feel is is best to start with the addition of our third child, Ashlyn Selene.
I went in at 7 am on Aug 7 to be induced.  I was put on antibiotics right away. Around 12:30, I was at 4 cm and they broke my water to get the induction started.  I had been having contractions on my own all day (big surprise since I normally don't feel them until my water breaks), but they were small and not constant. For the next hour the contractions were still small but they were getting more constant.  Then they got considerably stronger, and kept getting stronger.  By about 2:30 I was only at 5 cm, with how the contractions had been over that last hour I thought I would be further along. Over the next hour they got stronger and stronger, and with every contraction my hips were in pain.  The contractions were a walk in the park to how bad my hips were.  So at 3:30 they checked me again and I was at 6 cm.  It was at the point that I could not stay in bed since it was making my hip pain worse, so for the next 30 minutes I labored standing up and each time a contraction came I would call Wayne over.  I wrapped my arms around his neck and would hang with my knees bent, this made the hip pain almost go away.  At 4 I asked my nurse to check yet again, and I was finally at an 8.  I told my nurse to call my Dr. The hospital was just a quick run up a hill from the office, so the nurse asked it i was sure that she needed to call the Dr. and I told her yes.  By the time she got back to my room I could feel that it was time to push, and I really wanted to push.  10-15 minutes later my Dr. came into the room and I started pushing.  My Dr. had time to get her gloves on and that was it.  no gown, no shoe covers, and no time to break down the bed.  While pushing my Dr. kept commenting on how big of a head she had.  She said that she could get her out very quickly if she did and episiotomy, and I said do it.  I had gotten one with each of my other deliveries, so it was no problem.  Then at 4:29 she was born.
